Meghan Markle and Prince Harry 'could be king and queen of Canada immediately' thanks to strange loophole

Prince Harry is sixth in line to the throne, so unless something absolutely terrible happens there isn't much chance of us ever seeing his face on the back of our pound coins
And from interviews he's done in the past, he's very happy about this.
But it turns out there is still a chance of King Harry elsewhere in the world.
Canada's National Post newspaper believes a loophole in their country's laws means the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex could be made king and queen straight away.
They claim university professor Philippe Lagasse was studying the laws surrounding the royal family last year, and wrote: "According to the federal government's interpretation of royal succession in Canada, we could arguably make Harry the King of Canada with a simple parliamentary statute"
He claims that while Canada's constitution is very clear it's "vested in the Queen", it doesn't say who the Queen needs to be.
It also doesn't say it needs to be the same monarch as the UK.
Interesting...
Meghan obviously has very close ties with Canada and lived there while she was filming Suits.
Many of her close friends, including some of the adorable page boys and bridesmaids at her wedding, still live in the country.
Harry and Meghan made their first official public appearance there in 2017 during the Invictus Games.
Despite all of this, we imagine there isn't much chance of us actually seeing King Harry of Canada any time soon, but you never know.
Earlier this week Harry and Meghan revealed the details of their first royal tour, and it's a pretty major trip.
However they won't be visiting Canada, opting for Australia, Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand in the autumn.
But the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited the country back in 2016 with Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who was making her royal tour debut.
