Yobo Advises Rohr To Start Musa, Omeruo Vs Iceland; Backs Super Eagles To Advance

Former Nigeria captain Joseph Yobo has called on Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr to give the Ahmed Musa and Kenneth Omeruo Russia 2018 World Cup starting roles in his team because of their experience.
The Super Eagles go into Friday’s Group D clash against Iceland on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Croatia in their opening match last Saturday.

Failure to secure all three points against Iceland could see the Super Eagles catch an early flight back home.
Iceland, who are making their first ever appearance at the World Cup in Russia, surprisingly held Argentina to a 1-1 draw.
Yobo who represented Nigeria at three FIFA World Cups (2002, 2010, 2014), expressed confidence that the Super Eagles can still progress from the group stage.
“I believe our @NGSuperEagles have the ability and resolve to pull through this stage. I’d suggest a tactical formation that accommodates @ahmedmusa718 and @omeruo. Their experience and mental strength would be pivotal at this stage,” Yobo tweeted on Thursday.
