Murtala Adamu Jengebe jailed for 41 years

Zamfara subeb chairman of Zamfara state, Murtala Jengebe has been sentenced to 41 years in prison by a court appeal sitting in sokoto.
The court found him guilty on 7 out 10 counts of the money laundering charge of which he was earlier acquitted at the federal high court, Gusa, Zamfara State.
He was consequently sentenced to 5 years imprisonment on each of four of the count and 7 years each on the three other count respectively. However, the court ordered that the sentence shall run concurrently.
